Kick-Ass” was one of the most anticipated movies this year for me! I managed to see it. First thing first: THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR THE KIDS! BEWARE THE POST WILL CONTAIN SOME FOUL LANGUAGE!

Now that this is out of the way let me just say that the film is fucking awesome! I just loved it. Don’t go into the cinema expecting to see some realistic shit, but wanting to see realism in a superhero movie is like expecting superman not to fly!

Kick-ass” is the story of a teenage geeky kid, Dave Lizewsky (Aaron Johnson), who one day decides to be a superhero. He orders a costume and then pick on two pricks busting a car that stole his money previously. Needles to say he gets his ass kicked immediately, gets a knife in his stomach and after all this he gets hit by a car, Joe Black style. FUNNY!

In the hospital he gets so much metal inside to fix him that, as he even says, he looks like wolverine, and so much nerve damage  that he does not feel pain anymore. Sounds like the perfect gift for a wanna be superhero.

During his crime fighting Dave gets to meet Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) who are some bad ass vigilantes with some neet weapons. Later on Kick-Ass also meets Red Mist (Christopher Mintz) who is the son of Bad Guy Chris D’Amico, drug lord, and who is out to get them nice superheroes that interfere with his work.

But enough about the story of the movie. Trust me, it’s well constructed and the epic line is very well designed.

Kick-ass is funny because the all new super hero most of the time is in a bad situation instead of helping get people out of one. “Kick-ass“  is funny because a 11 years old girl uses words like “cunt” and kills bad guys better then Bruce Willis in “Die Hard” combined with Keanu Reaves in “Matrix” ever did! “Kick-ass” is funny because the lines are not some old boring cliches from teenage or comic movies, because they seem real and are there to empower the story.

All the actors played their part in a lovely way, including Nicolas Cage, who I found surprisingly charming with his speech full of gaps. Well done old man, you finally got one right! I was impressed by the effects and the general visual image of a low budget movie. The scene where Hit – Girl saves Kick-ass is lovely filmed with first person scenes and flashes.

I’m trying to think of things I didn’t like about it, but can’t really think of something. I rated it with only 8 just because it’s not a serious movie and a satirical view to all the comic books.

Anyway, if there are no kids around, go see this movie! It’s worth it.
