Jennifer Aniston – the star we love
March 24, 2010
I know, I know this is not a movie review post, it’s sort of a movie preview post although.
This post is a praise to the female star of the moment. No it’s not that girl from “Transformers”, what was her name? It’s Jennifer Aniston!
After finishing with “Friends”, one of the most famous TV Series of all times, Jenifer had a slow but sure path to a successful star on the big screen. Starting with “The break-up” in 2006, where she starred together with the lovely comedian Vince Vaughn we have heard of Jennifer Aniston more and more often. She did a couple other movies that according to me are not notable and then the big tear producer, “Marley & Me” in 2008 where Owen Wilson was her partner.
2009 was a good year for Jennifer with two good movies in the box office: “He’s Just Not That Into You” and “Love Happens”. If you ask me this probably the year that defined Jennifer Aniston as a true Hollywood star and separates her from other actors that can’t take the step from TV to Cinema. All is well and then comes 2010, a year that promises to be the best she had until now.
Now playing in the Cinemas is “The Bounty Hunter”, a comedy in which Jennifer teams up with Gerard Butler and brings to us a high speed, gun shooting, love comedy like we did not see before. I haven’t seen this one yet but I sure as hell don’t want to miss this one.
Gerard Butler plays an ex-cop that is now a bounty hunter with a very interesting mission: bring into custody his ex-wife, played by Jennifer Aniston. This is the perfect moment for him to act out on all the repressed feelings he had and do stuff like locking her in the trunk of his car. I hope to come back soon with a review on this one so I will not say more.
“The Switch” is to be released on the 20th of August and it’s another comedy with Jennifer in the leading role. By the looks of it, it’s not as funny as “The Bounty Hunter” but I prefer a movie where I laugh more while seeing the real thing then when the only good jokes are in the trailer.
This time Kassie Larson (Jennifer Aniston) is an unmarried woman that decides she wants to have a baby and goes for it the “donor way”. Somehow things get mixed up and 7 years later it seems that the boy she gave birth to actually has a different father then what everyone expected. The boy looks and acts exactly like Kassie’s best friend, Wally. You can imagine the rest.
I’ll let you now enjoy the trailer for “The Switch” and we’ll keep on watching Jennifer’s performance as the ride promises to be good.

This woman is the type of woman that could make a man like myself compromise the sanctity of his marriage. She’s awe-inspiring.
