"G-Force" Release date 04.09.2009
August 24, 2009I noticed I’ve gone soft lately with my criticism. But I’m back!
I just saw “G-Force” over the weekend, a movie I was waiting for since… since for ever! Actually, thinking of it now, I don’t know what I expected from it. Put small talking animals talk about their everyday life and you’ll have a great stand up comedy.
But this is not what I wanted from “G-Force”, I wanted more, not just some talking guinee pigs, that try to be special agents, I wanted something with content, something with a message, or just a good story. This movie does not bring anything new to the scene and just uses a old trick from the book of Hollywood: “make animals do human stuff and it will be funny”, and we saw this to many times before! We get it!
The movie brings to us, 3 guinee pigs and a mole, specially trained by the FBI to be secret agents, who try to save the world from an evil millionaire that designed electrical appliances to become assasins, which will wipe out the human rase! Sounds stupid, doesn’t it? That’s because it is! they could of found a better evil thing to destroy Earth!
Ok, “G-Force” is a funny movie, just not the new “Ice Age”. As noticeble things, I was really surprised by the twist in the plot at the end, and finally Nicholas Cage managed to pull a good role, as a mole.
